Gov suspends classes, work in Cagayan on Monday

Mamba cancelled classes in all levels in northern Cagayan, while classes are suspended from pre-school to senior high school the rest of the province, according to a bulletin from the Cagayan information office.

LIST: Class suspensions on Aug. 1, 2016 due to ‘Carina’

“This is to ensure the safety of school children from possible flooding due to the typhoon, especially that many flood-prone areas in the northern towns are access roads to schools,” Mamba said.

Northern Cagayan covers the towns of Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Sta. Teresita, Buguey, Aparri, Lal-lo, Camalaniugan, Allacapan, Ballesteros, Abulug, Pamplona, Sanchez Mira, Claveria, Sta. Paxedes, Calayan, Lasam, Gattaran and Rizal. JE/rga
