Arroyo returns to Lubao, Pampanga after 4 years

LUBAO, Pampanga—Former president and now Pampanga representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has returned home here after more than four years of absence due to her hospital detention over a plunder charge.

 
Arroyo attended the 6 a.m. Mass at the St. Augustine Church here on Saturday (July 30). She was joined by her husband Jose Miguel, sons Mikey and Dato and two granddaughters. Governor Lilia Pineda and her husband Rodolfo, their son Vice Gov. Dennis also attended the Mass.

 
Arroyo was freed on July 21 days after the Supreme Court decided to junk the plunder rap against her.
