Duterte still has no DPWH Secretary
PRESIDENT Duterte still doesn’t have a Public Works Secretary.
Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas said that Las Piñas Rep. Mark Villar has not yet handed in his resignation paper.
Fariñas said that Villar has to resign first before he could assume as head of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Villar was appointed DPWH Secretary as early as a week after the May 9 elections.
Villar was present at the opening of the 17th Congress last July 25 where he took his oath of office along with House members in the 17th Congress.
A source from Villar’s camp confirmed that the son of former Senate President Manuel Villar has not yet resigned but he would do so in the next few days.
