DOLE ordered to put up one-stop shop for OFWs

PRESIDENT Duterte on Monday ordered the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to establish a one-stop shop where overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) could secure their requirements.

During his first State of the Nation Address (Sona), Duterte said there should be building dedicated where OFWs could secure their clearances needed to work abroad.

He said the hard-earned money of OFWs should be put to “productive use.”

The President also ordered his Cabinet secretaries to shorten the time of processing documents not only for OFWs but to the public.

The President also assured to go after illegal recruiters and those involved in human trafficking.
