Duterte meets with Ramos after envoy post offer
DAVAO CITY—President Rodrigo Duterte and former President Fidel Ramos are now meeting at the Marco Polo Hotel here, confirms executive assistant Secretary Christopher Go.
The meeting takes place days after Duterte named Ramos special envoy to China.
It was not certain what the two officials were talking about.

But Ramos earlier said he wanted to clarify with Duterte what his specific role would be as special envoy to China.

Ramos also said being special envoy did not only entail going to China and talking with its leaders, especially in the wake of the ruling on the West Philippine Sea.
As of posting, Duterte and Ramos were still talking.
Sources said other officials present included Presidential Peace Adviser Jesus Dureza.
