DUBAI, United Arab Emirates  — Qatari authorities say a fire has broken out at a shopping mall under construction in the country’s capital, the second such blaze in the 2020 World Cup host nation in less than four months.

The Ministry of Interior says firefighters had contained Wednesday’s fire near the Dahl al-Hamam park. No casualties were reported.

The Doha News website reported that the fire happened in the Tawar Mall across the street from the park. Photos on social media showed thick black smoke billowing from the complex.

Mall officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
