TABUK CITY — Gunmen on a motorcycle shot and killed here on Tuesday night a market trader, who, police said, was on their drug watch list.

Jamaloding Pangcatan Hadji Muhamad, 30, of Marawi City, was riding home with his wife, Carima, on a motorcycle at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when they were attacked in Barangay Bulanao here.

The attackers, who wore helmets, fired several shots at Muhamad before fleeing. Carima was not hurt.

Police said Muhamad was the second to be killed in the city. On July 12, the decomposing body of Noel Bocad, 34, was found trapped in a steel gate of an irrigation canal in Barangay Appas. The body was bound with plastic straw. Estanislao Albano Jr., Contributor
