LOS BAÑOS, Laguna—A suspected illegal drug pusher was killed in a shootout with policemen in Antipolo City in Rizal province early Tuesday, police said.
A report from the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) regional police said the suspect was identified only as “Jojo.”
It said the suspect fired at policemen when he sensed that he was dealing with lawmen during a buy-bust operation along Sumulong Highway in Barangay Sta. Cruz at 12:10 a.m.
Police recovered a .38 cal. gun, four packets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and P300 from the slain suspect. RAM/rga
