(Updated) Is presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte now a recording artist?
Duterte took to Instagram on Thursday to share a photo of herself inside a recording studio.
“Recording my first solo album at Colang Recording Studio with my Phelps Dodge boss Ma’am Mercy. Please supoort my first single Walang Forever 🎤🎤🎤 #singsingsing #dancedancedance #dancesinglovelive #goodvibes,” Duterte wrote in the caption.
In a separate Instagram post, however, Duterte clarified that it was just a joke.
“It’s a joke. It was a Bilibid prisoner recording joke. Please do not take me seriously,” she said.
Duterte is on leave as mayor until July 22, with her brother and Vice Mayor Paolo acting as officer in charge.
She also responded to a netizen who called her out to do her job.
“Matuto ka umintindi ng joke nsa social media. Kaya nga ako nag leave kasi ayaw ko gawin personal ko na trabaho sa mga oras na bayad ng gobyerno,” she said. YG/rga
