Body wrapped in garbage bag found in Edsa-Ortigas

The body of a still unidentified man wrapped in a garbage bag was found along the southbound lane of Edsa-Ortigas just before the flyover early Thursday morning, amid an increasing death toll in the government’s war against drugs and criminality.

According to a report by Radyo Inquirer 990AM, scene of the crime operatives (Soco) found a wire wrapped around the victim’s neck.

The man, who had a tattoo on his body, was wearing a white shirt and red shorts.

On Sunday, the body of an alleged snatcher wrapped in masking tape with a handwritten note saying “Huwag ako tularan, snatcher ako! Salot sa Edsa” was found along Edsa in Quezon City.

Another body of a still unidentified man was also found at Pier 2 in Tondo, Manila, at around 4 a.m.

According to the homicide section of the Manila Police District, the man sustained gunshots in different parts of the body. Authorities recovered a .38-cal. revolver near the body.

The man, about 5’2” to 5’4” tall, was wearing a dark shirt and shorts.

A drug suspect named Fernando Rempilio was also shot dead in Caloocan by eight men who rode in tandem on motorbikes, the report added.
