CEBU CITY — Mayor Tomas Osmeña is not happy with the recent revamp of officers in the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).

He said that starting on Thursday, he would no longer give a cash reward of P50,000 for every slain crime suspect.

He added he would no longer get involved in the police anti-crime and anti-drugs campaign.

“Daghan man ang bright diha. Sila na lang ang magbuot (There are many bright people there. Let them decide),” he told a news conference on Thursday noon.

Osmeña earlier dangled a P50,000 reward for every dead petty crime suspect and P5,000 each for those wounded as part of his campaign against criminality. JE/rga
