‘This will happen to others like you’

A SUSPECTED drug courier was shot dead on Edsa in Pasay City early Tuesday morning.

The victim was identified only as alias Boy Mata, a 45-year-old resident of Maricaban, Pasay, and a known pimp, drug courier and user, said PO3 Giovanni Arcinue, the case investigator.

The victim was loitering along Edsa near the corner C. Cruz Street, Barangay 147, Zone 16, when he was shot several times by a still unidentified gunman around 1:10 a.m.

The shooter left a carton placard with a message in Filipino: “You’re a traitor, hold-up man and pusher. This will happen to others like you.”

Seven 9-mm bullet casings were found at the crime scene.

Concerned citizens brought the victim to Pasay General Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
