Robredo gets warm welcome at first Cabinet meeting

Vice President Leni Robredo on Monday morning attended her first Cabinet meeting a couple of days after President Rodrigo Duterte called her on national television to appoint her as head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) released on social media photos of Robredo with other secretaries during the Cabinet Orientation Workshop at the Premier Guest House in Malacañang.

“Vice President Leni Robredo joins her first Cabinet meeting in the Duterte administration in Malacañang. #PartnerForChange,” the caption said.

In one photo, Robredo was seen posing with Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr. and PCO Secretary Martin Andanar.

She was also seen taking a seat near Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.

Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade was seen excitedly holding Robredo’s hand as he welcomed her.
