Suspected drug pusher killed in Subic shootout
SUBIC, Zambales – A suspected drug pusher was killed in a shootout with local policemen who raided an alleged drug den here on Saturday (July 9), police said.
Chief Insp. Leonardo Madrid, Subic police station commander, said the unidentified slain suspect engaged the police in a gunfight at about 8 a.m. in Barangay Calapacuan here.
Madrid said the policemen were serving search and arrest warrants against two other suspects who managed to escape.
The slain drug suspect fired at the policemen while trying to flee, Madrid said, prompting the arresting officers to fire back, killing the suspect on the spot.
