All storm signals were lifted as Typhoon “Butchoy” (Nepartak) left the Philippine area of responsibility on Friday afternoon.
State weather bureau forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said in a televised press briefing that as of 3 p.m., the typhoon made its way out of PAR but would continue to enhance the southwest monsoon in the country.
Moderate to occasionally heavy rains are expected over Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Zambales, Bataan, Batangas, Pangasinan, Calamian Group of Islands and Mindoro over the weekend.
Butchoy was last tracked 365 kilometers northwest of Itbayat, Batanes. It further weakened with maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 185 kph.
The typhoon moved slowly at 12 kph.
Fishermen are advised to avoid the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the western seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon.
