3 dead in Cam Sur anti-drug operations

NAGA CITY – Three suspected drug pushers were killed in separate drug buy-bust operations in Camarines Sur, police said Friday.

Senior Supt. Walfredo Pornillos, Camarines Sur police provincial director, said the police operatives killed two drug suspects in Goa town and one in Buhi town during buy-bust operations wherein the drug suspects fought back with their firearms after sensing that an arrest was at hand.

In Goa town, Andy Villegas, number 2 in the municipal drug watch list, and Jayvee Neil Navea, also listed in the town’s police watch list, were killed in a buy-bust operation after they fired back at police poseur buyers at around 4:40 a.m. Thursday, Pornillos said. Police recovered one revolver of unknown caliber and another snub nose revolver, three pieces of plastic sachets with suspected “shabu,” marked money and other items.

Because of the imminent danger, the police operatives fired at (Ricarte) that killed him on the spot,” Pornillos said. CDG
