The state weather bureau issued a rainfall warning in Metro Manila and nearby provinces due to the nonstop monsoon-enhanced rains on Friday morning.
Zambales and Bataan were placed on red warning by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration at 9 a.m.
Torrential rains or more than 30 millimeters of rains are observed in the past hour and is expected to continue in the next two hours.
This calls for evacuation in low-lying areas as serious flooding is expected.

Orange warning was also raised over Cavite and Batangas. Intense rains or (15 to 30 mm rainfall) are observed in the past hour and is expected to continue in the next two hours.
Communities, especially in low-lying areas, are alerted for possible evacuation.
Yellow warning was issued in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Bulacan, Laguna and Rizal. Heavy rains or 7.5 to 15 mm rainfall was observed in the past hour and expected to continue in the next two hours.
Flooding is a possibility especially in low-lying areas.
