Gunmen kill 3 linked to drugs in Nueva Ecija

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines—Three people linked to illegal drug activities were killed in Nueva Ecija towns this week, police said.

Alfred Valdez, Jr., 47, who was listed on the drug watchlist of Sto. Domingo town, was shot dead in his home on Tuesday by motorcycle-riding gunmen.

Earlier on Monday, the police found the remains of Jessie Junarez, 37, who was abducted from his home in San Antonio town at 9 a.m. His body was found dumped in Cabiao town. Junarez was on San Antonio’s drug watchlist.

Last Monday afternoon, gunmen shot dead 36-year-old Mirasol Lavapie-Ramos, who was talking to a woman at a barbecue stand along the national road in Talavera town. The police said the attackers chased after Ramos before she was killed.
