NATIONAL Culture Consciousness Week is observed from July 1 to 7 by virtue of Proclamation No. 1148 signed on May 31, 1973, by then President Ferdinand Marcos. Likewise, Cultural Communities Week is observed every second week of July by virtue of Proclamation No. 250 signed on April 20, 1988, by then President Corazon Aquino.
