Robredo tells supporters: Stay humble, ignore vicious attacks

NEWLY sworn-in Vice President Leni Robredo called on her supporters to remain humble and ignore attacks from detractors trying to pull her down.

After taking her oath in the morning, Robredo met with supporters at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on Thursday evening and thanked them for supporting her despite relentless criticisms from rival camps.

“Maraming masamang nangyari noong eleksyon. Pero magpakumbaba tayo. Huwag tayong makipag-away. Matitira sa dulo ang kabutihan lang,” she said, drawing cheers from the audience.

Robredo dedicated the thanksgiving celebration to thousands of her supporters who were not able to attend her inauguration.

She also encouraged them to visit her office at the Quezon City Reception House so she could thank them personally.

“Sana bisitahin niyo ako sa aking opisina. Para ‘yung mga hindi ko pa nakikita sa personal, mapasalamatan ko kayo nang tama,” she said.
