US couple phones 911, says pet cat ‘hostaging’ them

This was probably the most “purrriffic” emergency call ever.

A couple from Wisconsin state in the US called up the 911 emergency hotline recently, claiming they were being held hostage by their wild pet cat.

In a report by CBS news, a woman made a 911 call on Friday, June 17, and told the operator, “This is going to sound like a strange question, but we have a cat and it’s going crazy and it’s attacked my husband, we’re kind of hostages in our own house.”

She added, “We’re just wondering who we should call to do something, get rid of the cat, or help us.”

Fortunately, the feline pet was taken away and turned over to Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission to the relief of the couple, who felt they were safe from harm.  Gianna Francesca Catolico
