2 kids wounded as grenades hurled at village chief’s house in Isabela City

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Two children were wounded when unidentified persons hurled two grenades inside the house of the village chief in Barangay Doña Ramona in Isabela City on Monday night.

Superintendent Jerome Afuyog Jr., the city police director of Isabela City in Basilan, identified the wounded children as Suraini Aiman Manisan and his brother Ahmad.

Initial probe results showed that the grenades were hurled from the outside the house of Hadji Samir Manisan, a barangay chair of Buku Tumus in Tabuan Lasa town.

Two safety levers, pins and fragments of MK2 type grenade were recovered from the blast site.  SFM
