‘Ambo’ loses strength over Aurora; now an LPA

Tropical depression “Ambo” weakened to a low pressure area early Monday after it made landfall over Dinalungan, Aurora, the state weather bureau said.

In a weather bulletin at 2 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the LPA was last located over Quirino province.

Tropical cyclone warning signals were lifted but the LPA will still bring occasional moderate to heavy rain which may trigger flashfloods and landslides in Northern and Central Luzon and the provinces of Rizal and Quezon.

Light to moderate rain is expected over Cavite, Laguna and Batangas, Pagasa said./rga
