LOBOC, Bohol—A 47-year-old man was killed while his companion was critically wounded on Friday night when the motorcycle they were riding crashed in Barangay (village) Camayaan, Loboc town in Bohol.
Nicolas Yagao was declared dead on arrival at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
His companion, Rodel Labonite, 20, was confined in the hospital.
Yagao was driving the motorcycle with Labonite as his passenger heading to Loay town from Loboc.
Witnesses said the motorcycle was cruising at a high speed when it suddenly swerved and crashed into the pavement.
Police said Yagao and Labonite were thrown off the motorcycle due to the impact.
The Loboc police reminded motorists to be extra careful especially in driving at night time.
