Guess who came to Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle’s 59th birthday celebration on Tuesday night?
It’s outgoing President Benigno Aquino III, who was once at odds with the Catholic Church for various issues, including the controversial reproductive health (RH) bill.
Mr. Aquino arrived at the Arzobispado Manila in Intramuros, Manila, around 6:45 p.m.
His three sisters, Maria Elena “Ballsy” Aquino-Cruz, Aurora Corazon “Pinky” Aquino-Abellada and Victoria Elisa “Viel” Aquino-Dee, came ahead of him shortly before 6 p.m.
The Aquino sisters alighted from their vehicle in front of the Arzobispado gate and were seen carrying gifts and food sans bodyguards.
According to a staff at the Archdiocese of Manila, the dinner was organized by Tagle’s family and friends from Imus, Cavite.
