Teacher among 5 nabbed by cops in Tacurong City drug raids

DAVAO CITY – A public high school teacher was among five people arrested by policemen in Tacurong City during a near simultaneous anti-illegal drug operations in various parts of Tacurong on Tuesday.

Noria Pudin, a teacher at the Tacurong City National High School, yielded some 74.3 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) during the raid on her house in Barangay New Isabela, which was backed by a warrant issued by Tacurong Regional Trial Court Judge Melanio Guerrero, a report by Tacurong City police chief Supt. Ranie Hachuela said.

Pudin denied she was a drug pusher and also disowned the suspected shabu seized by the police from her house.

The other suspects arrested in separate raids were Benjie Ganding Gayan, Aliman Midtonong Salat, Nasser Midtonong and Hasser Musalim.
