The latest photo of Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, who was recently hospitalized from her lung cancer complications, was posted on her social media accounts on Monday night.
“This photo was taken today by Senator Santiago’s daughter-in-law. The senator and her family would like to thank everyone who continues to pray and wish for her immediate healing and recovery. #MiriamFight,” the caption read.
In the photo, the senator was with her husband Narciso and three of their grandchildren.

Santiago had less known public appearances after the May 9 elections, where she lost in the five-way presidential race.
Last month, Santiago was rushed to the hospital after she developed pneumonia, but she was discharged after almost two weeks. She stayed in the intensive care unit for two days.

Her staff said over the weekend that her pneumonia has been placed under control and she continues to feel better.
Santiago will end her term as senator on June 30. CDG
