PASAY went from being a town into Rizal City on June 21, 1947, through the Diaz Bill filed by Ignacio Santos Diaz, then congressman of the first district.  After two years, Rep.  Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. filed a bill returning the city to its original name. It was signed into law on May 3, 1950, by President Elpidio Quirino who was once a resident of Pasay himself. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
