Herbert: It’s an honor to host Robredo in QC

The Quezon City Reception House, where incoming Vice President Leni Robredo is expected to hold office, was opened to the media on Monday as Mayor Herbert Bautista used the venue to present the local government’s resettlement plan.

Bautista confirmed to the Inquirer that he was not informed before Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte offered the new structure, which used to be the “Boracay Mansion,” to Robredo.

Nevertheless, he said it would be an honor to host the Office of the Vice President in the city.

Bautista said he would let the City Budget Officer negotiate the terms of the lease contract while Belmonte heads the coordination with the OVP. He said they would abide by the prescribed rate of the Commission on Audit./rga
