Tondo fire destroys 15 houses

Fire razed15 houses in a shanty community a stone’s throw away from a school and a hospital in Tondo, Manila, on Monday morning.

A dzMM radio report said an unattended candle might have caused the fire which burned down houses made of light materials along Mayhaligue Street.

There were no casualties.

The shanty town was only meters away from Uno High School and Metropolitan Medical Center. The fire did not affect the school and hospital.
