Thunderstorm possible in NCR on Father’s Day

A thunderstorm is likely to develop over the National Capital Region within the day, the state weather bureau said on Sunday.

The thunderstorm is possible within the next 12 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Atmospherical Services Administration said at 10 a.m.

A late-morning bulletin said Bulacan, Batangas, Nueva Ecija, and Quezon were being affected by thunderstorms.

An intertropical convergence zone was also affecting Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region and the provinces of Quezon and Aurora, Pagasa said.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country./rga
