CEBU CITY — One of the two unidentified men on board a motorcycle on Saturday strafed the pension house registered under the name of the mother of a slain drug lord.
No one was reported hurt but the bullets shattered the glass of the main door on the ground floor and the glass windows on the second floor of Gau Pension House in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City, about 12 km south of here.
The establishment was registered under the name of Gaudiosa Diaz, mother of Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz, who was killed in an encounter with the police in Las Piñas City on Friday night.

SPO2 Yvonne Illustrisimo, investigator of Talisay City Police Office (TCPO), said two men on board a motorcycle stopped in front of a pension house about 3 p.m. on Saturday, about five hours after the younger Diaz was killed.
The passenger, who was wearing a mask, pulled out a gun and opened fire, said Illustrisimo based on the account of the information desk employee Angelita Bonghanoy.
The two men then sped off after the shooting.
Police later recovered 22 empty shells of a 9mm gun including three deformed slugs.
Supt. Germano Mallari, TCPO chief, said the strafing may be connected with alleged drug trade of the slain suspect. JE
