Cebu state university alumnus tops June 2016 nursing board exam

CEBU CITY—An alumnus of a state university here topped the June 2016 Nursing Licensure examination while seven other graduates from different schools in Cebu made it in the top 10.

Bernard John Ezra IV Rafols Icamen of Cebu Normal University (CNU) got 87.20 percent, topping the licensure examination given by the Board of Nursing.

Sharing the top spot with Icamen was Melissa Castor Malong of the De La Salle University-Health Sciences Institute.

In a result released on Friday, The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said only 6,183 out of the 14,184 examinees passed the nursing licensure examination, which was held in the different testing centers in the country.

These were in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Seven other graduates of Cebu schools also landed in the top 10.

Three of them shared the 6th place after getting a percentile point of 85.80 percent.

They were Camille Osias Cosare of the University of the Visayas-Mandaue City; Jose Paolo Larrazabal Garcia of the Cebu Doctors’ University and Anthony Wines Teves of Velez College.

Two of seven shared the 7th place: Terrence Michael Villamor Cuyos of Cebu Normal University and Brittney Kindred Tek-ing Madrigal, Velez College, who both got 85.60 percent.

Athena Marie Abella Anog of Cebu Normal University (Cebu State College) and Ileana Orejudos Lim of Velez College who both received 85 percent ranking shared the 10th place. JE
