Ambulant juice vendor found dead at vacant lot in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY—The body of an ambulant vendor was found curled inside a big sando bag at a grassy lot in Barangay Balabago in Jaro District in Iloilo City early dawn Friday.
Jalil Abu Bakr, a native of Marawi City who was temporarily living in La Paz District, suffered six gunshot wounds.
The suspected killers tried to burn him but failed after the residents put out the fire.
Insp. Arnel Bigcas, deputy police chief of Jaro, said they recovered two motorcycles—a Honda 110 registered in the name of Aniza Agama and Yamaha Mio registered in the name of Wahid Agama, both of La Paz District.
Police said Bakr and his wife, Minda, left their house on Thursday night.
His wife remained missing as of Friday noon.
It was learned that the victim arrived in Iloilo City two months ago and made a living by peddling cold juice drinks at the Iloilo Terminal Market in downtown Iloilo.
Bakr was the fourth victim of summary execution in Iloilo this month.

On June 14, Morito De La Peña from Jaro District was found dead in Pototan town. A note was found on his body, linking him to the killing of two ice cream vendors in January./rga
