DAVAO CITY – About two weeks before his inauguration, President-elect Rodrigo Duterte is set to meet with the members of his incoming Cabinet on Wednesday evening, for the first time in Manila.
The meeting will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
Duterte’s first closed-door meeting with his Cabinet took place at the presidential guesthouse or the so-called Malacañang of the South here last May 31.
The longtime brash talking mayor, who was staying in this city after his electoral victory, previously said he had no plans of flying to Manila until the day of his inauguration.
Duterte will be coming from Bataan where he paid a visit to the wake of former Bataan Rep. Enrique “Tet” Garcia.
Ernesto Abella, one of Duterte’s designated spokesperson, on Monday announced the latest addition to the incoming Cabinet: Health secretary-designate Dr. Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial, Tourism chief-designate Wanda Tulfo Teo, and anointed Trade secretary Ramon Lopez.
Duterte will take his oath on June 30, separately with Vice President-elect Leni Robredo.
