Man with bullet wound in the head found on Negros highway

CEBU CITY, Philippines — An unidentified man was found with a gunshot wound in the head along the national highway in Barangay Poblacion, Sta. Catalina town, Negros Oriental, at about 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
Chief Insp. George Badon, acting police chief of Sta. Catalina, said the victim was found by a passing motorist.
Badon said his men brought the victim to Bayawan City District Hospital where a doctor pronounced him dead.
Found on the victim was a black cellular phone and a coin purse that contained P372 and one small plastic sachet of suspected shabu.
A caliber 45 shell was found at the crime scene.
Badon said they were coordinating with fellow policemen in nearby Bayawan City to determine the victim’s identity and to check if he was involved in the illegal drugs trade./rga
