Pagasa: Cloudy skies, thunderstorms to persist

The state weather bureau on Friday said Metro Manila would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms.

In an advisory at 5 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms would prevail over the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and the islands of Batanes, Babuyan and Calayan.

Pagasa said the rest of the country would also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms.

The bureau said thunderstorm is also affecting portions of Basilan, Zamboanga Peninsula, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Davao City, Davao del Norte and Agusan del Sur. It said the thunderstorm may persist for one to two hours./rga
