Pagasa: Rain, thunderstorms seen in Metro, rest of PH

THE state weather bureau on Tuesday said Metro Manila and the rest of the country would experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms.

In its 5 p.m. weather advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said a southwest monsoon was affecting Luzon.

Pagasa said thunderstorm, which may persist for two hours, was affecting the municipalities of San Miguel, Baliuag, Pulilan, San Rafael, Bustos in Bulacan; San Luis and Candaba in Pampanga; Gen. Tinio, Prnaranda, San Isidro in Nueva Ecija; Rodriguez, Rizal; and Lian and Calatagan in Batangas.

It also said that thunderstorms were also affecting portions of Bukidnon, Agusan del Sur, Compostela Valley and Davao del Norte, which may last for one hour to two hours.

People in all affected areas were advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods.
