MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon, Philippines – As he took his oath of office at the Kaamula Open Theater here late Saturday afternoon, returning senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri vowed to make it a point to regularly go home to Bukidnon to engage his provincemates.
“I shall always come back, to strengthen our bond. My bond with you shall always be direct, concrete, transparent and forthright,” Zubiri told the crowd of supporters, political allies, and local government officials in his post-oathtaking speech.
Zubiri was sworn in by Rumel Castilla Jr., Barangay (village) 5 chair in Malaybalay.
He said his campaign as “one for the books” as it was fought with strategic postering.
