PNP reshuffles 15 sr. officers

Fifteen senior officials in the Philippine National Police (PNP) have been reshuffled one month ahead of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte’s assumption after posts were left vacant following the retirement of some officials.

PNP spokesperson Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor said the movement of senior officials to lateral positions is part of the normal reassignment of police personnel.

“It’s part of the normal reshuffle since some police officials have retired from the police service. That’s part of the career movement of our officers,” he said in a press briefing in Camp Crame on Thursday.

The reshuffle orders issued recently affected 15 police officials with the ranks of senior and chief superintendent.

Among those affected by the reassignment were: Chief Supt. Ronald Santos, who was reassigned from Calabarzon police regional office to Civil Security Group (CSG) as deputy director;
