The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday that a thunderstorm is affecting parts of Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
In an advisory issued at 1:50 p.m., the state weather bureau said that Caloocan and Quezon cities in Metro Manila, Masinloc, Candelaria, and Palauig towns in Zambales, Rizal, Batangas, Laguna and portions of Bulacan, Tarlac and Quezon are experiencing thunderstorm.
The thunderstorm may persist for one to two hours, it said.
Residents from Cavite, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija and remaining parts of Metro Manila can expect thunderstorms in their areas within the next two hours.
Pagasa advised the public to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods. AJH/rga
