2 brothers shot dead in Caloocan

Two brothers were shot dead at the entrance of a Caloocan City subdivision shortly after midnight on Saturday.

The  police identified the victims as siblings Allan Keith Malazarte, 42, and Joseph Malazarte, both residents of Barangay 178, Camarin, Caloocan.

Initial investigation showed that the brothers were on a motorcycle when two other men on a motorbike approached, one of them shooting the Malazartes near the gate of Green Valley subdivision at 12:54 a.m.

Supt. Reydante Ariza, chief of the Caloocan Police-North Extension Office, said the motive for the killing remained under investigation, but noted that Joseph was earlier jailed for a drug-related charge. Jhena Sy
