Low pressure area outside PH; southwest monsoon to bring rains
A low pressure area was monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility on Thursday but it is not expected to affect the country.
The LPA was spotted 820 kilometers west of Dagupan in Pangasinan, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
Obet Badrina, weather specialist, said by phone that the LPA was heading toward China and expected to dissipate within two days.
The LPA had no direct effect on any part of the country, Badrina added.
The southwest monsoon in the western section of Luzon, however, will continue to bring rains over the country, Pagasa said in its afternoon bulletin.
Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro and Palawan will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.
