LUCENA CITY – A fire of still unknown origin burned down at least five houses in Infanta town in Quezon province early Wednesday.
Senior Supt. Eugenio Paguirigan, Quezon police chief, said the blaze occurred in Plaridel Street in Barangay Poblacion 38 around 5:15 a.m.
Police said the fire lasted 15 minutes after local firemen put off the blaze that left behind five houses burned. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Initial estimate by the Infanta Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) said 15 families were affected by the incident.
Authorities have yet to release the estimated cost of damages. CDG
