GANG RAPE
THREE men were arrested for allegedly raping a medical student inside the campus of university in Cebu City.
Police said the rape happened last Friday night at the barracks of the school’s maritime department.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7) did not give much details to the media pending operations to arrest the fourth suspect.

LABORER CHARGED
CHARGES of robbery with homicide were filed in court against a construction worker who killed and robbed a woman in barangay Pandan, Naga City, southern Cebu.
Alfredo Largo Jr. admitted he was responsible for the death of Amabelle Kalinga whose body was found near a river in barangay Pandan, Naga City, southern Cebu last Oct. 13.
No bail was recommended.
In his extrajudicial confession, Largo said he and the woman argued when he could no longer find his P500 bill.
Largo said he choked, punched and drowned the woman before leaving the area.
He said he took off the victim’s jeans and found P500.
Largo also got the P200 he paid to the victim.
Largo was arrested by police through the help of a habal-habal driver who transported him and the victim to the river. /REPORTER ADOR VINCENT S. MAYOL
