Thunderstorms hit Metro Manila, nearby provinces

Isolated thunderstorms hit Metro Manila and nearby provinces Wednesday evening.

“Thunderstorm is affecting Bulacan (Meycauayan, Obando, Bulakan, Marilao), Metro Manila (Navotas, Valenzuela, Malabon, Caloocan, Manila), Cavite (Maragondon), Laguna (Calamba, Canlubang, Liliw) and Quezon (Sariaya, Candelaria, Lucena), which may persist within two hours,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in an advisory at 6:26 p.m.

The weather bureau advised the public to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods.

For Thursday, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected in Metro Manila.
