Vice Presidential aspirant Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday asked the Commission on Elections to let his team of IT experts to conduct an audit of the transparency server and central server used for the May 9 elections.
Atty. Jose Amorado, head of Marcos’ legal team, filed before the Comelec office in Intramuros a letter written by the senator.
“I am formally requesting that this honorable Commission permit my team of IT experts and programmers, within three days from receipt hereof, to conduct an audit of the transparency server and the central server,” Marcos wrote.
He said the “new script” introduced by Smartmatic on the night of May 9 was a breach of protocol.

“The implications of such a change, and of the admitted breach of protocols are gravely disconcerting, to say the least,” Marcos said.
“If a single person can introduce “cosmetic” changes, how can we be assured that the same person and/or other persons did not introduce substantial alterations to the script and that the data had not been affected just as easily,” he said.
Marcos’ spokesman, Jonathan dela Cruz, said they are not accusing that there was cheating, but they are only going after the truth.

“Wala po tayong inaakusahan na may daya. Ang sinasabi namin ang kelangan natin ay katotohanan….Hanapin natin ang katotohanan, ayaw natin mabahiran ang eleksyon,” he told reporters after they filed the letter.
