DAVAO CITY — A magnitude 4.4 earthquake jolted the province of Sarangani and Davao Occidental early Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
Phivolcs said the quake struck 152 kilometers southeast of the town of Sarangani at around 5:06 a.m.
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 33 kilometers.
No damage and aftershocks were expected, Phivolcs said. SFM
