Photos of a ’70s Peanuts comic birthday card that two American brothers snail mailed back and forth for four decades galvanized social media for almost a year.
Sunny Kate Methier posted the antiquated card featuring the classic Peanuts character Linus on social media site Reddit and photo sharing site Imgur with the caption, “Pretty old school cool if you ask me!”
According to Huffington Post, the family tradition began when her father, Jeff Methier, 58, sent the vintage card to Ron Methier in 1973. They opted to use the same card all over again because the card featured quotes that said, “Recycle to a friend” and “This is the age of ecology”.
The Peanuts card surfaced the brother’s signatures for each year they have tossed the card back and forth.
