Robredo dominates 10 regions, keeps lead over Marcos

Administration candidate Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo dominated 10 regions as she maintained her lead in the vice presidential race, latest data from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) showed.

As of 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Robredo got 14, 014, 440 votes or 35.12 percent. Her closest rival Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had 13, 798, 059 votes or 34.58 percent. Robredo is leading by 216, 381 votes.

PPCRV data showed Robredo led in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), Negros Island Region, Mimamoropa, Calabarzon, and in regions 5, 6, 7, 10, 9, 13.

Marcos, meanwhile, led in the National Capital Region (NCR), Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and in regions 1, 2, 3, 8, 12. The senator also led in the overseas absentee voting (OAV).

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, who is in third place in the vice presidential race, got 5, 676, 902 votes or 14.23 percent. Cayetano led in region 11.

In the presidential race, presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte cemented his lead as he is close to getting 16 million votes. As of 10:45 a.m., Duterte had 15, 956, 395 votes or 38.95 percent.
